C´è un fiore così bello
che non vuole aprirsi mai...

"The song Piccolo Fiore is a sweet and delicate song about a little flower. This flower doesn't have enough power to open itself and receive the sun or the rain. Don't we all need more love in order to survive in the world?"
–Vittorio Merlo

Vittorio Merlo was born in Milan, Italy, and has been living since 1994 in Luxembourg. He started composing his songs at the age of 15. He has always used the art of composing as a sort of personal journal, a record of his sensations and passions.

In 1999 he decided to use Mp3.com for the distribution of his songs through the internet. The reaction of the internet public was good, and in a short while he was the author of the most popular Italian songs in the net. More than 250,000 downloads of his songs about emotions, social and political themes like Non sopporto I Berlusconi ("I can´t stand Berlusconi").

The international press took notice, and many articles about Vittorio´s success in the Internet have appeared (Libération, La Vanguardia, Corriere della Sera, ANSA, etc.).

September 2003 he participated in the Italian Festival "Una casa per Rino Gaetano" in Crotone with his song "Ho sognato Bruno Vespa": he received a standing ovation and took 3rd place among more than 1400 artists!

In 2005 Vittorio Merlo published his first official CD in Italy produced by Vince Tempera for the record label "Sette Ottavi".

His songs are influenced by many styles, mainly by the so-called "cantautori".
